Iroko is one of the most sought-after hardwoods for premium exterior cladding, prized for its rich colour, natural oils and impressive strength. Sourced from West and Central Africa, Iroko has been used for generations in shipbuilding, high-end joinery and architectural projects, thanks to its ability to perform in harsh outdoor conditions while maintaining its beauty.
Our 145mm x 19mm Iroko Planed Square Edge (PSE) boards offer a clean, modern option for timber cladding and exterior finishing. The square edge profile is perfect for contemporary designs, creating crisp horizontal or vertical lines with a minimalist, architectural feel.
Irokos natural density and built-in oils give it outstanding resistance to moisture, rot and insects without the need for pressure treatment. When freshly installed, the timber displays beautiful golden to medium brown tones, which slowly mellow into a soft silver-grey patina if left untreated. Many customers choose to apply a quality wood oil or OSMO stain to preserve the warm colour and enhance surface protection.
This profile is ideal for modern faades, garden rooms, outdoor buildings, feature walls and bespoke architectural projects where a refined, high-quality timber finish is required.
